Allison, I've known about Bayard Rustin as long as I've known about MLK. I remember a while back telling another of my Black, lesbian blog friends, "Cinnie" (not her real name, she turned out to be one of our beloved Black TV actors from back in the day!) about Bayard and she knew nothing about him. I put him right up there with James Baldwin, as an outspoken, stalwart fighter of our people.
