Bren, i so appreciate you giving this young man his props and yes, I do think constantly posting acts like these can be a great, humanizing counter-narrative to the " all crime, all the time" shit the media churns out. As for whether it'd change the way cops and the injustice system see young, Black men -- doubt it, at least not in my lifetime. It's just so baked into who the racists are in this country for over 400 years. Hell, the Slave Patrols (patty-rollers we call them at home in SC) STILL exist -- look at how those men chased down Ahmaud Arbery and murdered him in the middle of the street in broad daylight! {SMDH}

I've got way less years ahead of me than behind me, so I'm not that optimistic. That said, we must do whatever we can to get there.
