Hey Craig! I was vaguely familiar — and leery for reasons of my own. Thanks for the link! I went and perused it and got a better understanding of where they SAY they wanna go. Interesting. I’ll save their page and keep an eye on the direction in which they seem to be going, to see if “there’s any there, there” that I can wholeheartedly support.
I’ve been an Independent since Obama first threw his hat into the ring, because I didn’t appreciate being jacked around by the Dems, “trying to squeeze his story into my history.” I knew who he was, and it wasn’t me. Even though his wife paraded around as a South Side of Chicago girl, both she and he used her SC roots, their mere “skinfolk” appearance and some “Amazing Grace” — to cajole Black folk into believing he was going to do something substantive for us. Until he came out and said he wasn’t. I’m an old-head whose first vote for president was for Jimmy Carter (which I do not regret — Hell, at least Habitat for Humanity’s still going strong, helping those willing to put in the sweat equity to own homes!).
I’m so not here for folk saying they’re going to do sh*t just to get elected, so I’m trying hard to pay close attention to those who count my interests as their own with a track record to prove it. We shall see…
