General in California which, in my research, did not bode well for Black and Brown folk particularly

Jim Crow Joe knew exactly what he was doing when he intentionally appointed her Border Czar in charge of a problem that NONE of those white former folk in the office (including Joe) ever even really looked at, much less tried to solve! He KNEW she'd fail (as HE and may others had before her) and he wouldn't get all the blame. Set-ups are de rigueur for American politics, dontcha know??!! She was just too greedy to be yet another one of those "FIRSTS" to say no. She's getting what she deserves as result IMO.
