I KEEP hearing this statement, Walter -- and it, quite frankly, enrages me. Why? Because NOBODY ever thought/thinks about how ACTUALLY "uncomfortable" it was/is/has been for us AND our children to hear the bullshit that's been taught from slavery to supposed freedom. And even when alleged allies claim to want to help, it's pretty much always, more often than not, a whole "White Savior" helping the "at-risk," "underprivileged," "poor Blacks" who can't do for themselves rather than the truth of the matter being -- "Get your f*ckin' foot off my neck and I can take care of my damned self!" {SMDH}
