In addition to the "disqualifications" you listed, recruiting and retention took a HUGE HIT due to the Covid vaccine mandate DEFSEC Lloyd Austin ordered in August 2021. They discharged thousands of folks and many just said, "No" to enlisting because of that provision. The repeal of the mandate and the halt on discharges for religious reasons by a judge, seem to be setting OUR children up for something truly unseemly as they beef up the US military presence in eastern Europe, redeploying troops from Germany to Poland and Romania and sending more destroyers to strengthen Nato’s naval presence on Ukraine's southern flank. We can only wait and see.
