July of 2009, right after Obama was elected. Yep, you were VERY lucky! While I'm sure there were some who may have been shocked, I'm certain there were PLENTY of folks in his inner circle who were not. And yes, he was a scumbag, who I'm sure had his CIA cronies take Kennedy out.

Despite his getting the Civil Rights Act of 1964 pushed through, I've never forgotten a quote he made to his then-staffer, Bill Moyers on a trip to TN (who wrote about it later) -- "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."
