Lauren, thanks so much for writing this -- glad SOMEBODY'S willing to give credit where credit is due! Yes, she SHAMED THEM, and rightfully so. I felt exactly the same way when they took their otherwise rich, entitled, privileged asses on vacay while their constituents were floundering. And I agree, it never would've happened had she and the rest of "The Squad" had not taken this stand.
And yes, you nailed it, Psakis' statement from the administration WAS passive-aggressive because -- they had nothing else, because they ARE nothing else.
And yes, Cori Bush is a leader, regardless of what other racist simps may think. She stood for something, rather than falling for anything and were I one of her contituents in Missouri, I 'd be so damned proud that my vote had put her in power, I'd be dancing in the streets!
This is in no way "kicking he can down the road." It's extending the time for these damned state governments to distribute the damned remaining $43.5 billion in emergency rental assistance that states and localities were tasked to distribute. If anything, Congress made a huge mistake in not allowing a federal agency, say the f*ckin' IRS (who knows where in the hell EVERYBODY is), to distribute that damned assistance, rather than states, who think like some in your comments that folk will just sit home waiting on it. That BS arguement is really gettin' old folks. {SMDH}
And, as for her spending money on security while demanding that we defund the police -- REALLY??
Let me let HER tell y'all's asses about that: https://news.yahoo.com/congresswoman-cori-bush-explains-position-134226761.html
Cori Bush is the shit!!! She ain't no Changeling like Obama, nor is she a fair-weather friend, wannabe king-maker like Clyburn. She is "FOR THE PEOPLE" and I defy anyone to prove me wrong.
