Lisa, I get it. My husband and I spent a week in Grenada at a Sandals all-inclusive for our 38th wedding anniversary five years ago. And I can't lie, I LOVED being pampered like a Mofo!

The difference in our experience I think, is that while we stayed there for the pampering after a long day out with friends we'd made from the island who worked there, we went out everyday (upon the advice of our friends) and adventured and shopped and ate among the folk whose land we'd been blessed to share for that short time. It was fantastic! I'm sure the fact we were an interracial couple helped us both to make some memories we'll never forget. That, and the fact that when you treat folk with dignity and respect -- they appreciate it.
