Me too!! Ms. Dora, my mother's best friend (who moved next door to us in our "movin' on up" house in Charleston) had a HUGE pecan (do you say PE-CAN or PE-KAHN?π) tree in her backyard, so we always had plenty!! Since moving to TX though, I've found plenty of folk, both Black and Latino, who've made grownng and selling them a very lucrative business. One of my younger son's best friends has a family business that sells all kinds of stuff made from pecans. They sell a mean Pecan Honey Butter that's absolutely delicious on toast!!
