One and the same. Yes, the museum was privately funded. And while it may not reflect the thinking of the state's politicians, it surely reflects how the state politicians think about how it'll benefit both the city and and the state through what'll invariably be it's huge boost to the already insane amount of tourism dollars currently pouring in!

And I totally agree about "Between the World and Me!" She was teaching and English Lit. class and wanted the students to read and critically think about the whys and wherefores of his sharing his lived experiences with his son. All she wanted them to do was to critically think. But of course to the complaining students and parents, THAT was teaching CRT! {SMDH}

Yes it is. Even when I grew up there on the peninsula from 1956 to 1974 when I left for my Alabama HBCU, it was, in fact, still a Black majority city! "Restive Souls" -- where's it available? I'd like to read it!
