Read about this shit this weekend. Sadly, having lived in both S. Florida and S. Texas, I know it's nothing new. I do have to say though, while I do not suffer fools like this crew gladly, there are Latino/Chicano folk with whom I still feel solidarity and for whom I have empathy. Quiet as its kept, there are some of their own people, much like this crew, whose proximity to whiteness and subsequently white supremacy look down on them as well. I can't tell you how many times I've heard them say of the people at the borders, "They need to come here in the right way, like I did!"
I think what's most important is, as Maya said, "When people show themselves to you the first time -- believe them." So we must be vigilant and recognize who's who and disassociate ourselves from them -- ASAP!
It's sad though, that Black folk and POC cannot realize the depth of "divide and conquer" to which we're all subjected that keeps us from joining together to fight for what we want, need and deserve and to shut down the white supremacists at every turn. {Sigh}
