We were living in MD then and my brother-in-law lived in VA working for Nabisco. He actually got tickets to the game through his company and he and the husband went and had a blast -- while I had to watch my team win on the damned TV!!😠

Oh-h-h, I remember the days of "Chocolate City!" I moved to DC when I graduated from my AL, HBCU in the late 1970s (following a crazy-ass man, who I thought loved me!). I lived in S.E. with him for a while and worked in N.W. -- until I realized his ass really WAS crazy, and moved right across "the District" line into MD where I stayed until I went into the Navy. Pretty heady times for a young, Black girl from SC in a damn near 100 percent Black city "up North!!" I learned a lot living there.
