Yep! She's from Conway, SC and we went to undergrad and pledged Delta Sigma Theta on the same line at our Alabama HBCU. Her family's got quite the history in SC! In 1994, her dad was appointed by the SC State Legislature as the first African-American Chief Justice of South Carolina since Reconstruction. She also won the 2011 National Book Award for Poetry for "Head Off & Split!"
