You're welcome Bloom and thank you! It really was life-changing for me for so many reasons -- so much so, I've been back a few times. On the last trip, the husband and sons came over and met me there for Xmas (told them we weren't buying them any gifts cuz they just keep taking shit back and getting the money, talking about we had no "style!") -- so we paid for passports, plane tickets and an adjoining hotel room for them. Not only was it life-changing for them, we had a blast as a family!!!

Flying into Dakar (last stop before The Gambia), I saw this: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/apr/04/senegal-african-renaissance-statue -- and it took my breath away! We, along with my friend Gerald (who was building a Black History museum in The Gambia), also went across the border and spent a day in Dakar, which was also fantastic! I hope you have as great a time as I did!
